Hour of Code: @ Souhegan!

Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science. This week during Computer Science Education Week, students in over 180 countries around the globe will participate in an Hour of Code event.

Join us in the Info Center on Friday, Dec. 9th, Pers 5 or 6 for a little coding fun! No experience necessary!

Did you know...?

Code: the list of instructions in a computer program. Some of the languages used to write code are Javascript, C++, Python, IOS, SQL, etc. (there are hundreds!)

* Computing is the #1 source of new wages in the U.S.

* Girls who try AP Computer Science in high school are ten times more likely to major in it in college.

* President Obama wrote his first line of code when he kicked off Hour of Code in 2014.

* The basics of computer science help prepare students for any future career!
